We are delighted to  let you know that, in line with Government Guidelines, both our settings are fully open.  We are following all the protocols required of nurseries by the government and have fully updated our Risk Assessment in line with the latest guidance.  Please click here to read our full risk assessment.  Infection rates in children under 5 are extremely low and children in this age group rarely get very ill if they contract the virus.    Almost all children do not have anything but mild symptoms however they can pass on the virus to elderly relatives and other family members.  Therefore, we have a scrupulous cleaning regime and all our staff conduct Lateral Flow Tests twice a week to minimise asymptomatic transfer of the virus.  Staff do not come to work if they have symptoms and if they do have a positive LFT then they go immediately for a PCR test and self isolate with their household until they get the result.  We have had very few cases amongst staff and children this term.  Therefore we strongly recommend that you send your child to nursery as this will enable them to continue to develop academically and socially and it will support their mental health (and yours!).  All we ask is that all parents strictly follow the Government guidance on restrictions and should your child, or anyone in your family, develop symptoms of Covid-19 you should immediately self-isolate and follow Government guidance.  By doing so, you will protect not only yourselves but also everyone in your community and stop the spread of Covid-19.

For both settings, we have are carefully managing settling in sessions and also drop off and collect for the children.  Parents will be allowed onto the premises in limited numbers for settling in but after this we respectfully ask parents to remain outside the building when dropping off and collecting and your child will be brought to you by staff.  Parents must wear a face covering, santise their hands and have their temperature taken on admission.

If your child's 3rd or 4th birthday during this this term, then you qualify for 15 hours FREE childcare for 38 weeks of the year (Birmingham term time).   In cases where at least one parent earns at least £120 per week,  then parents of 3 and 4 year olds can qualify for 30 hours COMPLETELY FREE!!!  Don't miss out - contact us to find our your eligibility NOW to secure your place.  Please apply now so you don't miss out on a place for your child.  Time is running out for you to take up your child's place after Christmas and you may have to wait until the summer term.

2 year old funding is also available, subject to eligibility, and we can check for you whether you qualify - just call either of our settings and we will be able to help you.

If your child is under 2 then unfortunately there is no automatic entitlement to government funding but you may qualify for childcare support depending on your income.  You can also open a tax free childcare account and the government will add 20% to what you put in to help you with your nursery fees.  Again, we can help you to apply for all these benefits

Unfortunately, we had to cancel many of our special events because of  Covid-19  Please visit our social media pages for up to date information on opening times.  We are on Facebook and Instagram.

Take a look at some of our photos over the past few years. A visit to Zimbabwe, a Royal Wedding, a trip to the animal park and many more fabulous days we have had at nursery and we promise we will have once again.

The children have had lots of time outside exploring nature and the world around us. There was also a very special Royal Wedding to prepare for....

March was a fantastic month at Flying High, with lots to celebrate.  We've painted flags and making hats for St Patricks day, as well as spoiling all the Mommies for Mothers day.
