We have three unique environments that cater for a variety of age ranges in each of our settings. We create a loving and caring atmosphere for all children in our care which will bring a sense of security essential for their well-being.
HATCHLINGS LEARNING IN THE NEST
Nursery 0-2 years
The Nest caters for children who are 3 months to 2 years old providing the highest quality care in a nurturing environment designed with the parent and child in mind. Whilst in our care, children are stimulated with engaging activities as they learn through exploration and play. Staff in this room have had specific training on how to provide a high quality experience for your child, with the National Day Nurseries Association .
We also have provision in the Nest for some of our younger 2 year olds before they transition into the Barn.
LITTLE HOOTS LEARNING IN THE BARN
Early Learners 2- 3 years
The Barn caters for children who are 2 years to 3 years old. At this age, children are meeting new challenges and learn best in a stimulating environment. Our well qualified staff help facilitate learning and discovery through interest based activities which encourage investigation and exploration.
FLEDGLINGS LEARNING IN THE TREE TOPS
Pre-School 3- 4 years
The Treetop caters for children who are aged 3 and 4. We maintain the value of play and focus on learning as it best suits the individual child. We take an enthusiastic approach designed to motivate the children in a fun and exciting way to learn some very important skills to assist each child to transition to school successfully.
FOREST SCHOOL ETHOS
At Flying High we recognise the value of outdoor learning and adopt a Forest Schools approach. We have amazingn outdoor areas that allow children to develop their learning outdoors.
The ethos of Forest School is based on a fundamental respect for children and young people and for their capacity to investigate, test and maintain curiosity in the world around them. It believes in children's right to play; the right to access the outdoors (which we have a great space for!); the right to access risk and the vibrant reality of the natural world; and the right to experience a healthy range of emotions, through all the challenges of social interaction, to build a resilience that will enable continued and creative engagement with their peers.
