Here at Flying High Nursery School we pride ourselves on our high quality leadership and staffing team.  We won't compromise your child's learning by staffing our nursery with staff with little or no qualifications.  All of our staff are trained to a minimum of level 3, with only our apprentices having level 2 or entry level qualifications.  They receive great support from our manager and the more experienced members of staff to ensure they make good progress.

Your child will benefit from a staffing ratio that ensures your children get the care and attention they deserve at all times.  

The nursery is owned by a family team with a combined experience of over 50 years in education and  business, with extensive safeguarding and school leadership experience.

At Flying High we know that well qualified staff are the key to a successful education.  Even our volunteers are well qualified with most holding a level 2 or 3 qualification.   All our staff are Pediatric First Aid trained and all have a Level 2 Award in Food Safety - Early Years.  We expect all our staff to undertake Safeguarding and Child Protection training, Fire Safety training, Manual handling training and training on the Prevent Strategy as soon as possible after they join us. We have two qualified DSLs and at all times there is at least one on school site. One of our Directors is DSL trained and all have clear DBS enhanced checks.  We are all available 7 days a week - just message us through the website or social media.

We have an outstanding team of dedicated staff, all of whom are passionate about helping your child achieve their potential.  We never cut corners on our staffing.


Nursery Manager - Zainab

Meet Zainab our nursery manager.  She has over 10 years experience of working in nurseries and is working towards her Level 5 Bsuiness Management qualification.

Zainab is also our SENDCo and a qualified DSL.  She is always available to talk to you if you need any support or have any concerns.


Business Manager - Anzar

Anzar has been with us since we opened and she knows the families and the local area very well.  She can answer any of your queries about eligibility and organise tours and book your place at Flying High.

Anzar has a Level 3 Business Management qualification.


The Directors - Andy, Sue and Jacqui

Flying High is a family business run by Andy and Sue with their daughter Jacqui.  Between them they have 5 grandchildren and nieces and nephews so they know how important early education is to get children off to a good start with both their academic and social and emotional development.  The Directors are hands on, with Sue having spent 30 years working in schools, 25 in school leadership.  Andy is a qualified electrician and project manager at the NEC and ensures that the building is always safe and well maintained.  Jacqui's expertise is in business marketing, particularly in the charity and events sector and has great expertise in ensuring the business stays sustainable and can provide excellent resources for the children and staff.

All the directors are committed to ensuring that the staff work in conditions that ensure they can provide high quality experiences for the children so that they make great progress and are ready for the next stage of their education when they move on from Flying High.
